The Federal Association for Insurance Reform (FAIR), is pleased to announce the appointment of Hope Zelinger, Managing Principal of Bressler, Amery, & Ross- Miami (Bressler), as the new Chair of the Property Committee for the FAIR Board of Directors.
“I am thrilled about the opportunity to dive into the issues currently plaguing the insurance industry. We are in need of significant and substantial changes to the legislation to avoid the abuse of the current system,” said Zelinger. “Working with FAIR and the members of this group is the right platform to make a long-term difference.”
The FAIR Property Committee was previously chaired by Hillary Cassel, partner and co-founder of Cassel & Cassel, P.A.
“It has been an honor and a pleasure serving as the Founding Chair of the FAIR Property Committee. We, representatives of both insurers and policyholders, have set differences aside to come together and address issues with the goal of maintaining a healthy and sustainable homeowners insurance market to the benefit of both insureds and insurers alike,” said Cassel. “Alas, the time has come for me to step aside from my role and I can think of no one better than Hope to pick up where I have left off. Hope will no doubt serve as a fantastic Chair of the FAIR Property Committee moving forward and I, for one, cannot wait to continue working together towards our common goals.”
Zelinger is a Principal in Bressler’s insurance litigation group, Hope focuses her practice on civil litigation with a specialization in first party insurance defense and pre-litigation investigations and evaluations.
